Seagrasses are among the most diverse and valuable marine ecosystems on the planet. They play crucial roles in combating climate change, ensuring food security, protecting coastlines, enriching biodiversity, controlling disease and filtering water. It acts as invaluable ecosystem for breeding and nursery ground to variety of organisms and as the incubator to promote commercial fishery.
We join UNEP in calling for the protection of seagrasses to save our ocean and our common future.
