FAO honours PM Modi for Food Security Contributions

Rome, May 20, 2026

PM Narendra Modi is awarded the prestigious Agricola Medal 2026 by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) at its headquarters in Rome.

The award is presented by FAO Director-General Qu Dongyu in recognition of India’s achievements in food security, farmer welfare, poverty reduction, natural farming, millet promotion and sustainable agriculture under PM Modi’s leadership.

The Prime Minister dedicated this honour to India’s farmers, livestock reapers, fishermen, scientists and agricultural workers.
