Bambino Gesù known as the Pope’s Hospital is a dedicated Holy See’ children hospital founded in 1869 with a mission to care and treat vulnerable children. This hospital remains the largest paediatric hospital and research centre in Europe. The services continue as the forefront of paediatric medical research as it strives to bring the best possible care to young patients from around the world. Currently the existing facilities are made up of six facilities located across Rome and the Italian region of Lazio.
What points made Bambino Gesù special and different to other facilities? Below are the notes taken during interview with Tiziano Onesti – President of Bambino Gesù:

- Bambino Gesù research centre — ‘what is it?’. This research centre refers as one of the current available facilities — where San Paolo campus located with a series of highly innovative laboratories set up in-within. At this facility — the most advanced therapies are being developed and applied such as neuroblastoma or Car-T.
