A French author, in her autobiography “memory” describes the courage and clinical acuity exploring the roots, distances, and collective constraints of individual memory. Through her autobiography’ depiction, Annie Ernaux creates remarkable radiography of woman’s intimacy that developed with upheavals of French society since post war period. This piece of work made her a ‘feminist figure’ to get Swedish Academy’s award.
